Robert Tracey, 72, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in New Bedford, MA, Robert was a son of the late Roger Urbain Tracey and Beatrice Phyllis (Caron) Tracey.
An avid New England Sports fan, Robert passionately supported the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, and Bruins throughout his life. His love for baseball flourished from childhood, where he played on the New Bedford Little League championship team, the Medics. Beyond sports, he found joy in golf, photography, indulging in discovering new steak houses, and exploring the wonders of the country and beyond. It was during one of these adventures that he discovered his love for Las Vegas, a place where he realized his dream and spent his final years.
Robert graduated from New Bedford High School in 1970. He worked for Babbit Steam Specialty Co/F.W. Webb for over 50 years, retiring in 2021.
Besides his partner, Glenda, Robert is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer and her husband Joseph Sewell of Hermon, ME, and Kimberly Tracey and her husband Timothy Meacham of Brooklyn, NY, along with his step-children, Nancy Smith of Amarillo, TX, and Stu Smith of Redwood City, CA; brother, Edward Tracey and his wife Angie of Waverly, GA; sisters, Janet Tracey and her partner Mike Deschenes of Raynham, MA and Diane Colom and her husband Jose of Whitehall, PA; sister-in-law, Carole Tracey of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Isaac, Alexander and Oliver Sewell, Jack and Nolan Meacham, and Evan and Olivia Smith; great grandson, Sohlar Sewell-Flannery; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Anita (Rovner) Tracey, with whom his ashes will be buried alongside in Raynham. He was also a brother of the late Donald Tracey, Roger Tracey and Roger's wife Brenda.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for Robert's partner, Glenda Warner, who devoted herself to his care, allowing him to remain in the comfort of his own home until the end.
A graveside service to honor Robert's life will take place on July 12, 2025, at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham, MA, beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or your local little league would be greatly appreciated.
