TAUNTON - Rose (Silvia) Brophy of Taunton, wife of the late James T. Brophy, Jr., died at Morton Hospital on May 2, 2015.
She was 87.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Silvia) Silvia.
Rose was a lifelong resident of Taunton.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, she was a former communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
Survivors include two sons, James T. Brophy, III and Edward T. Brophy and his wife Robin, all of Taunton; five grandchildren, William Brophy and Laura Rose Brophy, both of Taunton, Matthew Levesque and his wife Janel of Lakeville, and Megan and Cassandra Levesque, both of Taunton; two brothers, Antone Silvia and Josh Batista; three sisters, Mary Flint, Sarah Silvia and Marilyn Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph Silvia, Dorothy, Pacheco, Alice Souza, Madeline Pacheco and Edith Flint.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, May 7th at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 6th from 5 to 8 p.m.
