TAUNTON - Russell J. Motta, 58, died unexpectedly at his Taunton home on Dec. 21, 2010.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of Hilda (Perry) Motta Duarte and the late James Motta.
Educated in area schools, he was a graduate of Dighton - Rehoboth Regional High School.
Russell was employed until recently by Swank Inc. where he worked as a maintenance man for over twenty-five years.
Besides his mother and her husband Joseph Duarte of Holiday, FL, he leaves his son, Gerald R. Motta of Raynham; his sister, Diane Motta-Stevenson and her husband Frank Stevenson of Delaware; an uncle, Elmer Perry and his wife Mary of Taunton; a nephew, Mitchell Motta of Torrance, CA; and his godparents, Gilbert and Mary Perry of Taunton.
He was also the brother of the late Dennis J. Motta.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
