Ruth (Rice) Wilson, age 74 of East Taunton, passed away on June 2, 2020 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of George Wilson.
Ruth was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Tower) Rice. In her younger days, she loved to participate in powderpuff races at the Lakeville and Seekonk speedways. She enjoyed going fishing and going up to Cape Cod. Ruth was a waitress at Bickfords restaurant in Raynham. She loved to spend time with her family. She was such a loving, sweet, selfless, and kind woman. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was an amazingly strong woman who always put everyone else before herself. She enjoyed going to the casino very much. Just days prior to her passing she was asking if the casinos were open. She made the best spaghetti and meatballs. Ruth was an absolute angel here on earth and she will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Besides her beloved husband George, of 55 years, Ruth is survived by her children; Debra Celona and husband Louis, Robert Wilson, Skip Wilson, grandchildren; Kayla Wilson, Destiny Wilson, great- grandchildren; Kaylence Smart, Kayleana Smart, Anthony Isadore and Austin Isadore, her siblings; William Rice and Virginia Rice. She was the grandmother of the late Michael Wilson.
Service will be held privately.
