Sandra Cason

Sandra (Medeiros) Cason, 65, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, after a long battle with dementia.

Sandra was the beloved wife of the late Francis Cason.

Born on May 15, 1961, at Morton Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Beatrice (Dupont) Medeiros.

Before her illness, Sandra dedicated more than 30 years of service as a Registered Nurse at Taunton State Hospital. She was a devoted and compassionate nurse who rarely missed a day of work unless absolutely necessary. Caring for others was more than her profession—it was her calling, and she touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers with her kindness, dedication, and unwavering compassion.

Sandra was a devoted Boston sports fan who loved attending games and cheering on her favorite teams. She also enjoyed going to concerts, reading, and spending time with her family. Family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She especially cherished shopping trips with her mother and sisters and treasured the many memories they created together. She loved traveling with her husband and was always happy to care for her nieces and nephews whenever she was needed. Sandra was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Sandra will be remembered for her generous heart, her caring nature, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. She was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed help, comfort, or simply a friend. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Susan Medeiros of East Taunton, Sharon Tweedy of Taunton, and Alan Medeiros of Taunton, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:15am prior to the service.

A service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10 am in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church 109 Winthrop Street, Taunton MA 02780.

Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sandra's memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America at Dementia Society of America. The family deeply appreciates your kindness and support.
