NEW BEDFORD - Sandra L. (Thetonia) Van Cour, 67, died on Feb. 21, 2014 at her son's New Bedford home, surrounded by her family.
She was the former wife of Robert Van Cour of Taunton and the late Richard G. Roper.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ludvinia (Frates) Thetonia.
Raised and educated in Raynham, she was employed by Cooperative Productions of Dighton for several years.
A worldwide traveler, Sandra enjoyed traveling and visiting foreign countries.
In addition to her former husband, she leaves two sons, Richard G. Roper of New Bedford and Derek A. Roper and his wife Tonya of Lakeville; two brothers, Richard Thetonia and his wife Sandra of Lakeland, FL and Arnold Thetonia and his wife Jane of Raynham; three sisters, Barbara A. Farrar and her husband Chet of Taunton, Judith Dupont and her husband David of New Bedford, and Debra Marshall and her husband Edward of Taunton; three grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna, and Hannah Roper; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, Feb. 26th at 7:30 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. prior to the services.
