Sandra L. (Bettencourt) LaPointe, age 75 of Taunton, passed away at her home on October 10, 2022.
Born in Acushnet, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Nichols) Bettencourt.
Sandra’s faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior guided her throughout her life. Sandra worked as a Registered Nurse caring for the elderly as Director of Nursing at Easton Lincoln and Longmeadow of Taunton. Sandra’s absolute selfless compassion provided her with the heart to excel in her profession.
Her true passion was her grandkids. Whether it was her time spent having sleepovers, going on day or weekend trips, or just sitting and playing with them. Sandra always showed a fierce love for her grandkids.
Sandra’s other interests include crafting, decorating and a big love for animals. She has throughout her life, rescued many animals in need.
She is survived by her children; Christopher Rezendes, Lisa Chown, Jared Chown and his wife Sandy, Ashley Chown and her fiancé Garett, She was the mother of the late Matthew and Mary Rezendes. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jessica, Nicholas, Matthew, Jonathan, Sage, Kobe, Maegan, Brynn, Lance, Ryleigh, Lily, Oliver, Dane and her two Great Grandchildren Cecelia and Eleanor. As well as her beloved Goldendoodle Ellie.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 10:45am. Relatives and friends can gather at the entrance of Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton at 475 East Britannia St.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Taunton Animal Shelter 821 West Water Street Taunton, MA 02780 in Sandra’s memory would be deeply appreciated.
