Scott Mitchell, age 56, passed away on October 26, 2022 at his residence with his loving children by his side.
Scott was born in Taunton, the son of the late Morine (Latimore) Mitchell.
Before his illness, Scott was employed with Taunton State Hospital.
He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, making new friends, and D list horror films. He was known most for his big smile and big heart.
Scott is survived by his loving children; Megan Mitchell of Attleboro, Scot (Kenesia) Mitchell, Sloan Mitchell both of Taunton and Nate Brown of Fall River. He is also survived by his grandson Samuel Mitchell, who was the most precious to him. His sisters Lorine (Mitchell) Ambers, Dorothy (Mitchell) Chadwick, Sukari (Mitchell) McKinley, his brothers Ollie Latimore, Linton Mitchell, Roy (Joan) Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Brandon (Megan) Floyd, and Richard Washington. Scott is also survived by ex wife Michelle (Ferris) Mitchel, as well as his many family members and friends. He was also the brother of the late Leasa Cunningham.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 5,2022 from 4 to 6 pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
His burial will be held privately.
