Sharon M. (Copeland) Medeiros

Sharon M. Medeiros (Copeland) 59, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2020 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after a long battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Louie J. Medeiros, of Taunton.

Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of Mary (Baptiste) Copeland, of Taunton and the late James A. Copeland.

She was a caretaker for many, both young and old, before which she was a manager of a retail clothing store.  In her spare time, she loved arts & crafts, painting and being the life of the party. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who had a profound sense of humor. Sharon always knew how to make people laugh and displayed a positive attitude through it all.

In addition to her husband Louie, she leaves her devoted son Adam J. Medeiros, of Taunton; two sisters, Pamela Copeland, of Taunton, and Debra Mahfouz and her husband, Paul, of Raynham; her mother- and father-in-law, Manny and Maria Medeiros of Wareham; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

To honor Sharon’s wishes, all services will be private, however, donations, in her name, can be made to the Taunton Animal Shelter, 891 West Water Street, Taunton MA 02780. A memorial service and interment in Saint Joseph Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton.
