NORTH DIGHTON - Shirley J. (Travis) Perry Lengyel, wife of the late Stephen Lengyel, and the late George J. Perry, died at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family on Jan. 18, 2012.
She was 78.
Born in Assonet, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eva (Eddy) Travis.
Raised and educated in Dighton, Shirley graduated from Dighton High School, and later moved to Taunton where she raised her family.
She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed listening to country music.
Survivors include seven sons, George J. Perry, Jr. of Michigan, Gary, Gregory, Guy, Joseph, and Herbert Perry, all of Taunton, and David Perry of Attleboro; two daughters, Cynda Borges of N. Dighton, and Carol Perry of Roslindale; a sister, Grace Castle of Raynham; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday Jan. 23rd at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
