Stanley Morrill, Jr.

Stanley Morrill, age 72 of Raynham, passed away on June 3, 2026 at Boston Medical Center in Brockton.

He was the beloved companion of Sharon Messinger and her children Brianna and Zachary.

Born in Everett, MA the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Costa) Morrill.

Before retiring, Stanley was employed with Copeland Toyota in the Sales Dept. Earlier in his career, he was a dedicated greyhound trainer at racetracks in West Memphis, Arkansas; Wheeling, West Virginia; and Hollywood, Florida. He concluded his training career at Wonderland Park in Revere, Massachusetts, and Raynham–Taunton Greyhound Park in Raynham, Massachusetts.

He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, collecting coins and was a lover of domestic and wild animals.

He is survived by his loving children, Stephen Morrill of NH, Joseph Morrill of Plymouth and Elisa Morrill of NH, grandfather of 4, great-grandfather of 2. Stanley was also the brother of Stephen Morrill, Kenny Morrill and Nancy Morrill.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 12noon with a service to begin at 2pm in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton MA 02780.

His burial will be held privately in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden MA.
