Suzan (Arabaciyan) Allard

d. May 29, 2021

Suzan (Arabaciyan) Allard, of Taunton MA, passed away at the age of 75 on Saturday, May 29th at Morton Hospital in Taunton.

Suzan was born in Istanbul, Turkey the daughter of the late Humparsum and Arsaluys (Elmassian) Arabaciyan.

She was the loving wife of her husband of 52 years, William Allard of Taunton, and the devoted mother and best friend to her daughter Erica Allard, of Taunton. Suzan is predeceased by her beloved dog Sophie, and survived by her faithful dog Charlie. She also leaves behind her dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be dearly missed by many, many friends and relatives whose lives she touched so deeply.

Suzan was retired from the hospitality industry, after some 30 years of catering and event planning. She had a knack for making every event a special occasion. She was a hard-working,kind-hearted and selfless woman whose mission in life was to love and bring joy to others. Her sense of humor was unmatched, she was always the life of the party, and smiles were abundant in her company. She frequently hosted her friends and relatives for parties at her beautifully decorated home in Taunton. Whether for Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s Eve or a family barbeque, she would bring out the dress-up clothes and encourage everyone to be silly! She loved donning costumes and having fun, her gatherings were renowned for being the best!

Suzan was always going above and beyond to help anyone in need, her generosity knew no bounds. She volunteered at the Matthew Mission in Taunton and the North Taunton Baptist Church Food Pantry. She often made homemade meals to feed the homeless in her community. She was a true giver, and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, decorating the house, landscaping and baking. She was a vibrant woman with a huge personality, who had traveled with a theater group in her 20s. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beautiful daughter Erica. She devoted herself to being the greatest mom, never missing a soccer game with homemade cookies and treats in tow, and always having the best birthday parties! She always made time for friends and was a devoted animal lover. Her gift was making people feel loved, cared for and special. That's just the way she was.

Life threw many obstacles and hurdles at Suzan over the years, however she was not deterred, rather, she fought with herculean strength to stay with us for 75 years! She was a strong and courageous woman, one who will be greatly missed by everyone she knew.

Our hearts are aching because you had to go... There’s a sadness in our eyes that we’re trying not to show... Though down our cheeks some tears shall flow... You were loved so much more than you could possibly know... Thank you for your love, your craziness and the many kindnesses you have shown... After seventy five years of service on this earth, God has called you to his throne. May your spirit calm us like a cool summer rain... May our love travel with you until we meet again.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 4 to 7pm followed by a service beginning at 7pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Her burial will be held privately.
