Sylvia A. (Rene) Pina, age 90 of Taunton, passed away on March 30, 2020.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Pina who passed away last year.
Sylvia was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Tiofolo and Mary (Da Silva) Rene.
Sylvia was an artist who enjoyed drawing and painting. Sylvia was devoted to her family and was a devout Catholic.
Mrs. Pina is survived by her children; Joanne Costello, of Taunton, twins David J. Pina, and his wife, Lynne, of Taunton and Dean J. Pina, and his wife Corinne, of Raynham, Sylvia Prioli, and her husband, Joseph Jr., of Pocasset, Michael Pina, of San Francisco, CA, Sherry Moniz, of Portsmouth, NH, and Joseph C. “Jody” Pina, and his wife, Michelle, of Taunton; nineteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Candida Azulay.
A private grave-side service will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
At a future date to be announced, there will be a memorial Mass for Mrs. Pina at Saint Andrew the Apostle Church.
