Theresa S. (Amaral) Gaffney, 92, Raynham, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Morton Hospital after a period of failing health.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Eva (Silva) Amaral.
Theresa was employed for many years at the former Modern Plastics Engineering Co. and retired from Taunton State Hospital. Theresa enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and numerous other sports. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, word games, and playing with her furry companion, Sander the cat.
She is survived by her daughter, Eva T. Gaffney of Raynham; numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Theresa was the last surviving sibling of a large family that included six brothers Manuel, Charles, Arthur, John, Joseph, and James Amaral; and two sisters, Mary Snelling and Genevieve Michaels.
A grave-side service was held privately in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Arrangements were with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
