Theresa (Aponte) Maltorell, age 65 the beloved wife of William Maltorell passed away on March 4, 2021 at Morton Hospital.
Theresa was born in Guayama , Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Apolinario “Polo” and Felicita “Fela’ (Rodriquez) Aponte.
Before retiring, Mrs. Maltorell was employed with Paul A. Dever School as a kitchen service aide.
She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She also enjoyed camping in Cape Cod, fishing, sitting by the canal, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.
Besides her beloved husband William, she is survived by her loving children; Michelle Thimas and husband Benjamin, William Maltorell , Albert Maltorell and his Fiance Sonia all of Taunton. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher, Shalyn, Tayla and Madison. She was also the sister of Raymond, Edward, William, Edwin, Albert and John Aponte, Susan Burroughs, Cynthia Thomas, Marlyn Rose and Rosemary Sikorski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 10am in Saint Mary’s Church Broadway, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at church at 9:45am.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 8th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
During all services facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
