Theresa Marie (Gannon) Medeiros

Theresa M. Medeiros (Gannon) 87, of Raynham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Milton A. Medeiros.

Born in Tewksbury, MA, she was the daughter of August and Katherine Ventroia.

Theresa worked as a cashier at Shaw’s Supermarket for twenty years prior to retirement.

She was very active in the Senior Center in Raynham and Norton, enjoyed attending the Bristol County Savings Bank Prime Time Tours, visiting and relaxing at the Cape Cod Canal, especially while eating a tuna sandwich. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Theresa leaves her son, Michael W. Medeiros, and his wife, Ruth, of Raynham; a daughter, Katherine T. Payne, and her late husband, Kenneth, of Raynham; five grandchildren, Jon Vieira, David Vieira, Stephanie Vieira, Nichole Silva (Medeiros), and Michelle Blair-Medeiros; and seven great grandchildren, Jonathan, Evyn, Anthony, Zachary, Averie, Tristin, and Caleb; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Milton A. Medeiros, Maureen A. Vieira (Medeiros) and sister of the late Jane Spardella, Mary Vacca, and Rosemarie Ventroia

Visiting hours will be held on Friday , January 31, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday , February 1, 2020 at 8:30 am, from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Ann’s Church, 660 North Main Street, Raynham. Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
