Theresa M. (Soares) Padula, age 87 of Taunton, passed away on April 15, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Padula, Jr., who passed in July of 2023.
Born in Taunton, Theresa was the daughter of the late Domingos and Palmira (Vaz) Soares.
Before retiring, Mrs. Padula was employed as LPN with the VA Hospital in Brockton.
Theresa enjoyed gardening, painting, traveling, going to the casino, and most of all she cherished time spent with her family.
Theresa is survived by her children: Shaunna Padula of Aurora, CO, Pamela Kelly and her husband George of Seekonk, Kimberly Perry of Taunton, and John Padula, III of Taunton; her grandchildren: Patrick Kelly, Alesha Kelly, Joshua Perry, Travis Perry, Lewis Perry, and Ty Padula; her great-grandsons: Elijah Perry and Noah Perry; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was also the sister of Alfred Soares of East Taunton, Elizabeth McWilliams of Middleboro and sister of the late Domingos Soares, Joseph Soares, Mary Agrella, Helen Rogers, Rose Bernardo and the late Margaret Walker.
Mrs. Padula’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11am with a funeral service to begin at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
