Theresa M. (Torres) Rivet, age 92 of North Dighton, passed away at her residence on November 27, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Rivet.
Theresa was born in North Dighton, the daughter of the late Joaquim and Maria (Pacheco) Torres.
Before retiring, Mrs. Rivet was employed with Swank ,Inc for over 20 years retiring in 1992. She was a graduate of Dighton High School class of 1948.
Mrs. Rivet was a devout Catholic. She received the Marion Medal and was a communicant of Saint Nicholas of Myra Church.
Theresa was an avid gardener who lovingly maintained gardens at the church, her children’s homes, and the grave sights of loved ones. She enjoyed traveling, walking the beach collecting sea glass, and time spent in Nantucket. Most of all she cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. St Nicholas of Myra (former Saint Joseph Church) was recognized for her dedication in tending to the gardens that she helped to create over the years.
Theresa is survived by her loving children; Donna Rivet of Rehoboth David Rivet and his wife Lisa of Lake Oswego, Oregon Sharon DeBlois and her husband Keith of Rehoboth Cheryl Langlais and her husband David of Mattapoisett, grandchildren; Cady DeBlois of Rehoboth, Keith DeBlois Jr of Somerset Mikaila (Rivet) Schiele of Phoenix, AZ, Angelina Rivet of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Jillian Langlais of Mattapoisett Jack Langlais of Mattapoisett. She was also the beloved mother of the late Sandra Rivet and grandmother of her late infant twin grandsons, Richard and Ron Langlais.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10 am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church Spring Street, North Dighton.
Relatives and friends may meet directly at church at 9:45 am.
Her burial will be held privately in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
