Theresa “Terry” (Corey) Matteson, age 63 of Taunton, the beloved wife of the late Kevin Matteson, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late James and Cecelia (Cabral) Corey. At the time of her passing she was employed as the CTE secretary for the Dighton - Rehoboth Regional High School for over 30 years. In those 30 years she made many long lasting friendships. She enjoyed spending time with her family the most. She also enjoyed baking, playing video games with her grandchildren, doing puzzles and going to the casino. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Terry is survived by her loving children; Sarah Matteson of Taunton, Amy (Matteson) Beal of FL and Joshua Matteson also of Taunton, she was the grandmother of Timothy, Elizabeth, Abigail, Olivia, Kevin, Leeyah, Ethan and Thomas. She was also the beloved aunt of Amanda Emond of North Dighton and sister of the late Carolyn ( Corey ) DeMoura. She is also survived by her best friend of 50 years Elaine Costanzo and her sister at heart Carol Mendonca.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2pm followed by a funeral service at 5pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
During all services facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
Her burial will be held privately.
