Thomas J. Davis

Thomas J. Davis, age 62 of Taunton, passed away on February 23, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital.

He was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Pacheco) Davis.

Our brother Tom peacefully passed away after a brief illness. Tom had been employed by the State of MA, retiring several years ago. Tom was always quiet and kind which earned him the nickname “Smooth” because he was so easy to get along with and always went with the flow.

In his early years he enjoyed playing softball with his brothers and also enjoyed watching all sports, especially Boston teams. He also refereed basketball for many years at the high school level.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He loved dancing, music and concerts especially the Grateful Dead and would always be the first one to the beach.

Although he is no longer physically with us he will always and forever be in all of our hearts.

He is survived by his loving siblings; Wayne Davis and wife Vickie of Plymouth, Eric Davis and wife Susan of Taunton, Kathy Moniz and husband Robert of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:00pm in the Silva funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately.
