Thomas F. Showstead

Thomas F. Showstead , 61, of Taunton, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Morton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jeanne “Cookie” (Cordorette) Showstead.

Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Frederick and Audrey (Holmes) Showstead.

Tom worked as a maintenance mechanic for Prysmian Cables and Systems for over twenty years.

He was a rollercoaster enthusiast, enjoyed visiting Disney every year as well as Old Orchard Beach. Tom was also a member of the Elks Lodge # 2633 in Mansfield, MA.

Mr. Showstead leaves a brother, David A. Showstead, and his wife, Jeanne, of Hudson, MA and his two nieces, Nicole and Allison Showstead.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Thomas’ funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 am, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)

Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
