Vincent W. Muir, age 86, of Raynham, MA, passed away on February 15, 2023 at Morton Hospital.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Paul and Hanora (Tracy) Muir. He was the beloved husband of sixty years of Rose Marie (Dupont) Muir.
He was a graduate of Commerce High School in Boston and Newbury College Business School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959. He was employed by Eastern Greyhound Lines for over thirty five years. Vinnie was involved with the Raynham Little League in management and coaching. He was a forty year member of the Raynham Lions Club and was governor of District 33-S, 1992-1993.
In addition to his wife, Vinnie is survived by his children; Katherine and Henry Reed, Vincent J. and Lisa Muir, David and Ellen Muir, Kevin and Kelly Muir, Roger Muir, and his grandchildren Matthew and Natalia Reed, Jeffrey and Kimberly Reed, Breanna Muir, Andrew Muir, Krista and Brad Texeira, Malia Texeira, and Justin Guimaraes, and the late Tara Silveira. Great grandfather to Jack Henry Reed and Evan Matthew Reed.
He is also survived by his sisters and brother-in-laws, Carol and Henry Sudnovsky and Marilyn and Edward Hoeft, and brother Billy Muir. Brother to the late Paul Muir. Uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Muir’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. A funeral home service will be at 11:00 AM at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, MA. The interment will be held privately.
