Virginia Peterson

Virginia “Ginny” Ann (MacDonald) Peterson, age 87 of Dighton, passed away on December 28, 2017 at Fall River Health Care.

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Peterson.

Ginny was born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Marguerite A. (Fox) MacDonald.

She was a 1947 High School Graduate of Mansfield High School.

Before retirement, Mrs. Peterson was a Teacher’s Aide for 18 years at Dighton Elementary School. Ginny enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved all animals and adopted all that showed up at her door.

She was the loving mother of three sons; Eric (Dora), Richard (Karen) and Robert (Judy).Ginny will be fondly remembered by five grandchildren (Elizabeth, Ryan, Ashley, Morgan and Spencer) and four great-grandchildren (Patrick, Samantha, Kyle and Nora). Ginny was the sister of the late Margaret Inman and will be forever remembered by her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ginny’s visitation will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm followed by a funeral service at 5 pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)

Interment will be held privately.
