Vonnie E. Collette, 48, of Raynham, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019.
She was the beloved wife of Timothy Collette and mother of their cherished son, Devin. Born in Stanhope, New Jersey, daughter of the late Richard and Maureen (Grant) Travers.
Vonnie grew up in Dedham, MA and graduated from Dedham High School. She was a cook at several area nursing homes and provided many extra treats to the residents, often at her own expense. Her devotion to her job was much appreciated by residents and staff alike.
Vonnie’s love for her family and friends knew no limits. Her selfless devotion and many acts of kindness will be remembered by the many people who loved her.
She was the cherished god-daughter of Sara Mackiernan; beloved Sister-in-law of Thomas Collette and his wife Judith McCabe, Catherine Collette and her husband Jean LaRose, Susan Moufarrej, Danice Thomas and her husband Ronald, Rosemary Roller, Verna Valentine and her husband John, and the late Paul F. Collette; biological sister of Jean, Brian, Sean Jennifer, Scott, Richie, Sheila, Janet, Nancy, Richard, the late Liz Karger and her twin, Bonnie, who died in infancy. She also leaves several much loved nieces and nephews and countless beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 from 2-5pm at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton. Burial will be privately held.
Celebration of Life will take place at 11:30am on Monday, September 30th at Slap Shotz, 524 Broadway in Raynham.
