With heavy hearts and more than a few feathers scattered around the yard, we announce the passing of a very special member of the family — our beloved house duck.
He was never just a duck. He was family.
He was a true survivor, even after breaking his leg not once, but twice. Through it all, he remained determined, dramatic, and completely convinced that he deserved to be spoiled, and honestly, he was right.
He absolutely loved tubby time, where he could splash, paddle, and make a spectacular mess as only a duck can. He had a particular appreciation for sunflower seeds, which were less of a treat and more of a basic requirement. His happiest days were spent outside in his pen, lounging around in his pool, while soaking up the sunshine.
His absence will leave behind a very quiet yard, an empty pool, and a sunflower-seed budget that will never be the same.
He leaves behind his heartbroken Mom, Holly, and Dad, Dave, who loved him, cared for him through his many adventures, and gave him the best life a house duck could ever ask for. He is also survived by his beloved pet siblings Zoey, Spike, and Levi.
Though his time with us was far too short, he filled it with an incredible amount of love, laughter, feathers, and memories.
May he forever have the biggest pool, endless sunflower seeds, warm sunshine, and all the tubby time his little heart desires.
Fly high, sweet boy. 🦆🤍You were one in a flock.
