NORTH DIGHTON - Warren G. Schondek, husband of Cynthia (Snyder) Schondek, died at his North Dighton home on June 4, 2012, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was 61.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of Annamae (Coute) Schondek of Taunton, and the late Deacon John Schondek.
A graduate of the former Coyle High School, Warren attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
A First Class Fireman, he was employed for the past thirty years in private industry, including Reed & Barton Silversmiths.
He was a communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church.
A history enthusiast, Warren was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Chess.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves five brothers, John Schondek of Flemington, NJ, Joseph Schondek of Pawtucket, RI, Gerard Schondek of Dighton, and Matthew and Peter Schondek, both of Raynham; his beloved Collie, Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, June 8th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Unitarian Cemetery in Dighton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 7th from 4 to 7 p.m.
