William G. Bessette

William G. Bessette, fiancé of Jane R. Santos, died at Tufts - New England Medical Center in Boston, on July 16, 2009.
He was 73.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alphonse J. and Dora (Rinalli) Bessette.
Educated in Pawtucket schools, he graduated from Tolman High School in 1953, later serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Bessette worked for many years as a truck driver for Branch Motor Express, and later New Penn.
He retired in 1995.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church in Taunton, he was happiest when spending time with his family.
Besides his fiancé of Taunton, he leaves 2 sons, Todd A. Bessette of Williamsburg, VA and Spencer W. Bessette of Littleton, CO; 2 daughters, Pamela L. Bessette of Hopkinton, RI and Melissa M. Bessette of Westport; a stepdaughter, Jessica S. Reis of Taunton; a brother, Robert Bessette of Pawtucket; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Armand Bessette.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, July 20th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 19th from 4 to 7 p.m.
