William H. Ferrier, age 80 of Taunton, passed away on May 13, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Bertha (Fitzgerald) Ferrier.
William was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Leslie Ferrier and the late H. Mildred (White) Corey
Before retirement in 2007, Mr. Ferrier was employed with Dyer Oil Co as an oil burner service technician .
Known by many as Mr. Fix it, Bill loved to take anything not working or old and repair it. He enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with his family.
Besides his beloved wife Bertha of over 59, Bill is survived by his loving children, James Ferrier of Taunton and Susan McCauley and husband Mark of Rehoboth. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Kelsey, Michael, Alden, Lauren and Nathaniel, and the brother of Lucille Wood of Taunton.
Mr. Ferrier’s Funeral will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a funeral service at 10 am in the First Congregational Church “Stone Church” 785 South Main St, Raynham. Interment will follow in Pleasant Street Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May17 th in the Silva Funeral Home from 4 to 7pm.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
