RAYNHAM - William F. Phillipe, husband of Connie S. (Hensley) Phillipe, died unexpectedly at his Raynham home on Jan. 2, 2014.
He was 65.
Born and raised in Taunton, he was the son of Attorney Frank V. Phillipe of North Dighton and the late Lydia (Teixeira) Phillipe.
A 1966 graduate of Taunton High School, Bill received his BA degree from Western Kentucky University and his MA degree from Bridgewater State College.
He taught History at Taunton High School from 1970 to 1981.
He was then employed by Rubbermaid as a sales representative.
Bill was currently employed by Market Advantage Plus as a sales representative for Go-Jo Industries.
A member of the Taunton Power Squadron, Bill enjoyed sailing, music, sports and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and father, he leaves two daughters, Kimberly Ann Jerome and her husband Jeffrey of Rochester, and Patricia Elizabeth Phillipe of Raynham; two sisters, Frances Ratcliffe and her husband William of Swansea and Mary Joan Dary and her husband Robert of Taunton; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Mae and Cash Philip Jerome; and three nephews, William Ratcliffe, and Jeffrey and Keith Dary.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday Jan. 7th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church, Raynham at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
