It is with great sadness that the family of Yvonne Thomas 73, of Plymouth, MA announce her passing. She was called home to be with the lord on Friday December 2, 2022, after a heroic battle with cancer. Yvonne was the daughter of the late Duniza “Dolly” Gomes and John Spinola. Yvonne adored her family and cherished spending time with them. She enjoyed eating great food, laughing, watching her stories, and getting her nails done. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Miya Thomas-Harris and husband Jeffrey, Aaron Thomas and wife Jill, Alesia Ettson and husband Rashime, and her former husband Abraham Thomas all of Waterbury CT. She also leaves her sisters Priscilla Barrows (Claudia), Barbara Santos (Robert), Cheryl Andrade, Doreen Servis (Ron), Sandra Barrows, Renee Casolare (Joe), Maryann Coleman (Ted) all of MA. Tracy Spinola of Cheshire CT. and Brother John Spinola (Theresa) of MA. Her grandchildren Cara Thomas, Aaron Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Jaxon Thomas, Amari Ettson, and her great grandson Jacob Staples, along with so many others that she was a Nana to. God son Tony Bernier and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by her brother Larry Barrows.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM on Saturday December 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes 309 South Main St, Waterbury, CT
