Zelia F. (Camara) deSousa

Zelia F. (Camara) deSousa, age 87 of East Taunton, passed away on June 1, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.

She was the wife of Manuel R. deSousa.

Zelia was born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel the daughter of the late Joao and Ilda (daSilva) Camara.

She loved gardening and grew many varieties of flowers and plants. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved reading and studying her Bible.

Besides her loving husband Manuel of 65 years, she is survived by her children; Helen Loura and husband Alberto, Antonio deSousa and wife Patricia, grandchildren; Jared Loura, Alex Loura, Ethan Loura, Kayla deSousa, Jacob deSousa, great-grandchildren; Elena Loura, Athena Loura, sisters; Odette Moniz, Joanna Machado and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Camara and Maria Helen Ferreira.

Funeral services will be held privately.
