Edmund M. Perry, age 81 of Taunton, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Life Care Center of Raynham.
He was the beloved husband of the late Stasia (Menard) Perry.
Born in Taunton, MA he was a son of the late Manuel and Elvida (DeCosta) Perry.
Eddie was of strong faith & politics. He was a dedicated husband to his one love, Stasia, he stood by her side during her 10 year battle with cancer. He loved his family and his extended families: Davol-Taunton Printing & Norton Public School System.
In his free time, Eddie enjoyed several hobbies; stained glass, artistic creations & travel. One of his favorite activities being his alternate ego, Santa. He loved donning the “red suit” and was definitely a part of childhood memories for so many.
Graduate of Taunton High School, he remained friends with many of his classmates over the years.
He is survived by his children; Karen Johnson and her husband Philip, and Lisa Anne Mizuno and her husband Steve, grandchildren; Aaron Johnson, Christian Johnson, Aundrea Johnson, Brenna Mizuno, Shea Mizuno, and Torin Mizuno. He also leaves several sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Eugene Medeiros Perry.
Edmund’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 8:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church, Taunton.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5 to 7pm.
