Jeannette R. (Gagne) Pflug, age 89 of Peabody, passed away of natural causes on January 4, 2021 at CareOne at Peabody with her loving family by her side.
Born to the late Joseph and Anita (Bernier) Gagne on October 21, 1931 in Lawrence, she graduated from Central Catholic High School. “Jan” was a graduate of Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. After Jan retired, she volunteered for Hospice and worked part-time as a nurse caring for the elderly. Jan nursed both her son and husband in their final days at home with love and compassion. Jan loved to dance, knit, make macramé crafts, paint, going to yard sales, vacations in Seabrook Beach, Yankee Homecoming, decorating her home for holidays, trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and a cherished trip to Hawaii with her granddaughter Jennifer. She raised three children and was the adored Mémé to three grandchildren. She touched many lives and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Jan was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William (Bill) Robert Pflug, Sr. and son William (Billy) Robert Pflug, Jr.
Mrs. Pflug is survived by her daughters; Lisa Anne Pflug of Waltham, Christine Noelle (Pflug) Allen and her husband Matthew Allen of Boxford, grandchildren; Jennifer Tate Hubley, Sophia Brooke Allen, William Charles Allen and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Alfred (Sonny) Gagne, Doris (Gagne) Barron and Lorraine (Gagne) Dube.
Relatives and friends may assemble at 12:15pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 in the main parking area of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, for a funeral procession to Cedar Knoll Cemetery, Staples Street, East Taunton.
