Karen Elena "It's Chickie" Raposa, 73, of Portsmouth and formerly of Tiverton, passed away on Saturday, December 26th, 2020.
She was the loving companion of the late Ray Gagnon.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late George and Alice (Durkin) Jones.
Karen graduated from Johnson and Wales University and worked for Hodges Badge Company in Portsmouth, RI.
She enjoyed weekend getaways with Ray, live music and theatre (especially if her children, granddaughter, or daughter-in-law were involved), eating at her favorite restaurant, and she sure did know how to enjoy an espresso martini or two, but above all she valued spending time with her closest friends and family.
Known lovingly as "Posey" or "Chickie", Karen will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Karen is survived by her children, Joey Raposa and his wife Shandy Monte-Raposa of New Bedford and Jaimie Barton and her husband Paul Barton of Wayne, NJ; granddaughter, Rayn Raposa and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late George Jones Jr., and Elisabeth Jones.
Funeral arrangements were privately held and donations in her memory can be made to Alzheimers Research & Prevention Foundation
