Laudalina (Sousa) Luz, age 78 of Taunton, passed away on January 8, 2022 at Morton Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Luz.

Born in Terceira, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Aguiar) Sousa.

Before retiring, Mrs. Luz was employed with Texas Instruments for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, making puzzles and baking malasada’s.

Laudalina is survived by her loving children; Mario Luz and longtime companion Dawna, Ana Rego and husband Antonio, Jose Luz, Felicia Rego and husband Armando, Bela Carvalho and husband Brian, Marcie Luz, and Susan Luz and longtime companion Scott, grandmother of 16 great- grandmother of 11. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Luz’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
