Michael Dixon

Michael “Doc” Dixon, age 63, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Isaiah and Margery (McCone) Dixon.

Michael worked as a landscaper before retiring to New Hampshire. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies, playing cards, rooting for the Celtics and spending time with his beloved family. Michael was a loving and caring father, who could always be seen wearing a smile on his face. He will be remembered for his fierce loyalty and devote appreciation.

He is survived by his children; Kiyanna Ambers, Darshena Ambers, Michael Ambers, and their mother, Darlene Ambers, siblings; Gary Dixon and wife Helen, Jeffrey Dixon, Isaiah Dixon, Janice Latimore, grandchildren; Jaidyl Rivera, Lanasha Robinson, Kaylonnie Robinson, Antwon Perry, Rayshawn Zavala and wife Lauren, Dasia Ambers, Gianni Ambers, great-granddaughter Victoria Perry, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Betty Dixon and grandfather of Jauwon Ambers.

We will honor Michael on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with a remembrance service beginning at 6:00pm at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. On this day and every day may we remember a good, good man who touched and enriched all our lives in so many ways, never forgetting his presence. In his honor celebrate the good times you shared, the endless memories, and always remember that life is fragile and should be lived to the fullest. Michael will be sorely missed.
