Carolyn Dutton

Carolyn Carver Dutton, 95, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of the late John M. Dutton entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Carolyn was born April 30, 1928 in Taunton, MA, daughter of the late Lee Webster McIntire and the late Hazel Carver Horton. She was a professional pastry chef and after her husband passed away in 1994, she went to work at Plymouth Plantation, in a living history museum, reflecting the Pilgrim life in 1622 in Plymouth, MA.

She is survived by children, John M. Dutton, Jr. (Lynne) of Wareham, MA, Jeffrey L. Dutton of Carver, MA, and Lynn Cease (Hank) of Goose Creek, SC; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Alan McIntire and Janet McIntire Sears.

A grave-side service will be held on Friday September 18, 2026 at 12 Noon in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham, MA.
