Charles “Chuck” D. Dennen, age 75, of Taunton, passed away peacefully at his home on October 28, 2026, following a hard- fought battle with a rare form of cancer. His loving family was by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Balelo) Dennen, with whom he shared more than 54 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Taunton, Chuck was the son of the late John “Ned” E. and Ida A. (Plaud) Dennen.

Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and a 1972 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He went on to become the proud owner of a Snap-on Tools franchise, a business he operated for 29 years.

In addition to his beloved wife, Joyce, Chuck leaves behind his loving daughters, Lisa Nelson and her husband, Keith, of Bridgewater, and Lori Andrade and her husband, Joshua, of Taunton. He was the very proud Bubba of his two grandsons, Alex and Samuel Andrade. He also leaves his brother, James Dennen, of Florida. He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Richard Dennen.

Above all else, Chuck loved spending time with his family. He was the best father to his two daughters and an incredibly proud grandfather to his two grandsons. Over the years, he also became an honorary father and grandfather to countless others who were lucky enough to have him in their lives.

He was known by many names throughout the years — Chucky, Chuckles, Dad, Daddio, Ward, Bob, OOO-gene, Cotton Top, Snappy and Grampy — but his favorite title of all was Bubba.

In retirement, Chuck embraced his love of traveling in his motorhome, making memories at Disney World, Cocoa Beach, Scusset Beach and camping with his Bourne Scenic Park family. These adventures, especially those shared with family, brought him tremendous happiness.

Anyone who knew Chuck quickly discovered his wicked sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh, approached life with optimism and always had a smile on his face. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, loved and part of the family. His larger-than-life personality and the countless lives he touched will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Funeral services were held privately with Silva Funeral Home of Taunton. In honor of Chuck’s history as a manager at The Red Coach Grill, a celebration of life will be held for family and friends in the Cranberry Ballroom at the Fireside Grille, located at 30 Bedford Street, Middleborough, MA, on November 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Chuck’s memory would be deeply appreciated.
