Listen to Obituary

Lorraine (Fortier) Perry age 95 a resident of Taunton for many years, passed away peacefully on October 27,2026 at Webster Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Antone (Tony) Perry who passed away in 2016.

Born in Brockton, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Peter and Ethel (Sterns) Fortier.

Before retiring in 1993, Mrs. Perry was employed by Stonehill College for many years. Lorraine built a life centered around her family. Caring for her grandchildren became one of her greatest loves. Beyond family she enjoyed a simple life, a self proclaimed, "home body". She was content with spending time with Tony (the love of her life), cooking, watching game shows with a particular fondness for Jeopardy and Alex Trebec. However, that is not to say she didn't enjoy putting on her dancing shoes when the opportunity would arise. She considered herself, "quite the dancer". She was a devoted Catholic and longtime member of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.

Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Debra Flight and her husband Jonathan of Pembroke, Gail Gordon and her husband Brian of Taunton and Sandra Coelho and her husband Albert of Plymouth, a son Paul Perry and Kelly Howard of Carver, ten grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Flight, Samantha Memmo, Brian, Nicholas and Michaela Gordon, Lillyana, Taylor and Nikolas Coelho and Josh Oliveira. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren. Lorraine was the sister of the late Charles, Herbert and Leslie Fortier, Elsie Barnes and Eleonor Robinson.

Her funeral with visitation will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway at (St Mary's Square) Taunton on Monday, November 2,2026 at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Holy Family Church, Middleboro Ave, East Taunton.

Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Memorial gifts may be made to: Tides Hospice, 101 Accord Park Dr. Suite 202, Norwell MA.02061, in Lorraine’s memory would be deeply appreciated.
